BK-HFPR®
High Frequency Pulse Reactor

BK-MLR-1-SM

BK-HFPR® (High frequency Pulse Reactor) for Esterification

The BK-HFPR (High frequency Pulse Reactor) is a continuous reactor special designed for the biodiesel industry and scalable from 20,000 MT to 50,000 MT per year. The larger version is scalable from 50,000 MT to 100,000 MT per year.

• The technology of the BK-HFPR is one of the most promising technology available on the biodiesel market today. The full reaction time occurs only within 2 to 3 seconds.
• Can be integrated in any new or existing batch or continuous biodiesel plant build by any manufacturer. Great option to upscale your biodiesel plant
• It is a continuous process with low temperatures.
• No prior mixing is required.

Demo plant can be seen by BioKing in The Netherlands. (Please make first an appointment)

Advantages of the HFPRR®™ - Technology against conventional production systems

• Saving investment by saving room: The enclosed room, needed for the same amount of production, is reduced about 90%.
• Optimizing of batch-systems: Generally the quality and the quantity of production will be increased by the HFPR®™-technology.
• Energy saving: In the working area of HFPR ®™ machines, the medium to be processed, is set free from the machine directly after the treatment. This means economizing energy which would normally has to be invested in batch processes.
• Ecological benefit: A major part of industrial procedures in the chemical-or food industry are carried out by employing water or organic solvents in dimensions, which allow treatments in agitating tanks. HFPR ®™  machines allow higher concentration and lower solvent content.
• Safety: Pressure and temperature are better controlled in HFPR ®™  machines.
Standard of delivery, mounting, start up: Machines and plants are always mounted and tested in our factory at BioKing in ‘s-Gravenpolder in The Netherlands.

Easy integrated in any new or existing batch or continuous biodiesel plant

General description of the HFPR®™ processing
The HFPR®™ rotor/ stator unit based on the physical effects between the rotors and the stators. The medium to be processed, passes through the rotor/stator system and  is accelerated centrifugally. The rotor system runs with up to 50 m per second against the stator. The medium  is compressed in the chambers (between rotor and stator) with pressure up to 10 bar. The retention-time in the chambers is 0.001 second. The medium expands in a shock like way and changes over in the next centrically external chamber. The rotor/stator segments meet up to 500 million times per second. This micro-cavitations  leads to the treatment of the product by the energy transfer: electro motor → shaft → rotor/stator → product.
This action repeats itself up to million times per second. This is the big difference to other mixing devices. Hastelloy, titan, hard-metal are used. Stainless steel 316 is standard.
All HFPR®™machines are tested by permanent running in the industrial range.
